2. APPROVAL OF March 2025 MINUTES – Vickie Getz 

Linda Fussi made the motion to accept the minutes from March. 

Laura Baciu seconded the motion - Motion Approved

3. TREASURER REPORT – Denise Klag 

Denise reported that we have $52,345.67 in checking. The Bank Statement is always available to see. 

4. COMMITTEE REPORTS

A.  Membership:  Annetherese Biesiada & Mark Staron –

Current members were listed.

Annetherese reported the committee will meet on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Foster’s at 6:30. They are working on window decals, looking at the website, speakers & t-shirts for chamber members.  She also sent reminders to past members about signing up.  The new flyer will go in the Greeters boxes.

Membership dues and applications are due Now.

Business Membership - $150.00

Non-profit Membership - $75.00

Individual - $40.00

B. A.   Social Media: Christina McVey-

Membership if you want something posted on Facebook email Christina.  Follow the chamber so she can see what you are posting about events, etc.

C. Hinckley Greeters:  Heather Liccardi –

Please bring business cards and/or information to be added to the Foster Pizza Boxes to Heather.  They are starting up in April delivering to about 20 homes a month.

D. Scholarship: Laura Baciu- 

They had 15 applicants and added an interview component to the process.  The recipients of the 2025 Scholarships are:

Adalai Colbrunn (Hawken; studying Mechanical Engineering at Cleveland State)

         Chole Leng (Highland; studying Neuro-oncology at Case Western)

Melinda & Heather provided information on both recipients to the members.  They will be attending our next meeting.  The committee will meet for a debriefing session.

E. Donations:  Eric Lucius –

Jim Ascherl made a motion to give the Hinckley Women’s Club $250.00 for their Easter Egg Hunt.  Trish Strazar seconded the motion, and the motion carried.

F. Citizen of the Year:  Melissa Augustine-

Melissa will be announcing the Citizen of the Year for 2025 at our May meeting. There were 5-6 people for consideration.  They take the nominations from the last 2 years.

5. SPOTLIGHTING OUR MEMBERS

 Please see Heather Liccardi to be put on the speaker rotation. David Schweyer with BayPointe Technology is our speaker for May

6. Old Business

A.  Buzzard Day: Update

Checking into involving the Metroparks for next year. About 1,350 Breakfasts sold.  Breakfasts sold online: Adults 353 for $4,589 Child 57 for $570. 91 Boxes of Sausage sold for $3815. 50/50 Raffle made $893 & Baskets $586 for a total of $1,479. Front door sales were $8,554.  Extra sausage sales $211.90. The craft fair made $1,224.00. We made a total of $12,714.21 after expenses, down $1,342.76 from last year.

Suggestions: Basket Raffle hard to find, need a light at the entrance door in the morning, announcing with school system where things are located, better counters to track people.

B. 2nd Annual Golf Outing-Friday, May 16, 2025, at Valleaire Golf & Event Center (8:00am-4:30pm)-

  The following dates are the planning meetings at Foster’s Tavern at 5:30pm

·        April 16, 2025

·        May 14, 2025

·        May 26, 2025 (Debriefing meeting for Golf Outing)

We need raffle baskets.

Photography: Lynne Rotundo volunteered to take pictures.  Need a generic backdrop with the Chamber Logo.

All the Corporate Sponsorships are sold out.  

C.  5K Run – (around Hinckley’s Bicentennial)-No report.

D.  Hinckley Holidays – Saturday, December 2025 (6:00pm-8:00pm)-No report

7.   New Business

   A.  Website-

          All members who are veterans have an American Flag next to their name.

   B.  The $500 brick is sold out.  Between the baskets, 50/50 raffle & $500 for the brick we have $1,979.  We are short $521 for the plaque.  Trish Strazar made the motion to put the difference toward the $1,979 for the Bicentennial Park plaque. Melissa Augustine seconded and the motion carried
