2. APPROVAL OF DECEMBER 2025 MINUTES – Vickie Getz 

Trish Strazar made the motion to accept the minutes from January.  

Linda Fussi seconded the motion - Motion Approved

3. TREASURER REPORT – Denise Klag 

Vickie Getz reported that we have $16,492.93 in checking and $23,000 for Buzzard

           Day.  The Bank Statement is always available to see.  

4. COMMITTEE REPORTS

A.  Membership:  Annetherese Biesiada & Mark Staron –

Membership is meeting on Monday, February 17, at 6:30 at Hi Lo Winery. If you would like to join them.

Christina reminded membership that if you want something posted on Facebook email her.

Membership dues and applications are due Now.

Business Membership - $150.00

Non-profit Membership - $75.00

Individual - $40.00

B. Hinckley Greeters:  Heather Liccardi –

Please bring business cards and/or information to be added to the Foster Pizza Boxes to Heather.  They are taking a break until Spring.

C. Scholarship: Laura Baciu- 

Heather reported that applications have gone out to Highland & Brunswick Schools as well as the Medina Career Center.  They are meeting on March 12 at Coco Café to discuss the handling of the applications. 

D. Donations:  Eric Lucius – No report

E. Citizen of the Year:  Melissa Augustine-

There were flyers on the sign-in table.  March 15 is the deadline for applications.

5. SPOTLIGHTING OUR MEMBERS

Please see Heather Liccardi to be put on the speaker rotation.

George Hoose from Edward Jones spoke on the volatility of the market. Meet regularly with your advisor so you can plan for your needs.  The economy is on strong footing.

6. Old Business

A. Buzzard Sunday-Sunday, March 16, 2025 – 

About 1,220 breakfasts were sold in 2024. The following dates are the planning meetings at Foster’s Tavern at 5:30pm

  • February 12, 2025

  • February 26, 2025

  • March 12, 2025

  • March 26, 2025  (Debriefing meeting for Buzzard Sunday)

Hinckley Preparatory Academy will be closed on Friday, March 14, 2025, so we will be able to set up earlier.

Chamber Businesses will be given a free spot in one of the classrooms for advertising their business.  You must bring your own table & chair and handouts.  Let Alison Kuzma know if you want a table so she can reserve the space.

Trish Strazar reported that the Buzzard costume was beyond repair and filled with Mouse droppings and it was disposed of.  A new costume would cost between $6,000 and $10,000 for a good one or $400-$500 for a ‘cheap’ one.

If you can help on Buzzard Sunday, please sign up online.

We need Raffle baskets.  They can be dropped off at S&S Heating, Cooling & Sheet Metal.

B.  2nd Annual Golf Outing-Friday, May 16, 2025, at Valleaire Golf & 

Event Center (8:00am-4:30pm)-

C.  5K Run – (around Hinckley’s Bicentennial)-No report.
