- APPROVAL OF AUGUST 2024 MINUTES –Vickie Getz Amanda Pfahl made the motion to accept the minutes from August. Mark Staron seconded the motion – Motion Approved
- TREASURER REPORT – Denise Klag Denise said we have $43,787.59 in checking. We paid $342.69 for Insurance & gave a $1,000 check to one of two scholarship recipients.
- COMMITTEE REPORTS
A. Membership: Annetherese Biesiada & Mark Staron – Invoices for renewing your membership will be going out. Membership dues are due by December 31.
Business Membership – $150.00
Non-profit Membership – $75.00
Individual – $40.00
Membership Presentation Regarding Social Media:
Melissa Augustine explained that if a business would like to have something posted on the Hinckley Chamber Facebook page, they need to first post it on their site and message Melissa Augustine, and she will share it to the Chamber Facebook page.
Mark Staron shared that if a business wanted a link to their business on the Chamber website the cost would be about $250.00. Talk to Mark if interested.
Also, the Chamber has a book for businesses to put their business cards in, which can then be shared.
B. Hinckley Greeters: Heather Liccardi – Please bring business cards and/or information to be added to the Foster Pizza Boxes to Heather. They take a break in the winter and resume in the spring.
C. Scholarship: Laura Baciu- is the new head of the Scholarship Committee and is reaching out to her committee. If you are interested in serving on this committee contact Laura.
D. Donations: Eric Lucius – There were no requests.

Our speaker this month was Mark Staron – President of S&S Heating, Cooling & Sheet Metal.
Mark reminded us to change our filters and if you have a colonial, you should close the doors to the rooms upstairs to keep the temperature close to what you set the thermostat for. They are expecting a 25% to 40% increase in equipment as the manufacturers must retool to make the changes required by the EPA.
- Old Business
A. Hinckley Halloween (Trunk or Treat) – Saturday, October 26, 2024 (4:00pm-6:00pm)
Melissa Augustine made a motion to pay $450.00 for a full color ad on page 2 of the Hinckley Record. David Schweyer seconded. There was discussion-motion carried.
We need signs coming into Hinckley to slow the traffic down along with a temporary crosswalk to keep everyone safe. The safety signs with blinking lights that would Velcro on run around $100.00 each. Still checking on signs.
Hinckley Preparatory Academy will also have something going on that day and the Hinckley Trustees are thinking about doing a movie night that evening.
B. Hinckley Holidays – December 07, 2024 (6:00pm-8:00pm)
It will take place in the gym at Hinckley Preparatory Academy.
Planning meetings will be announced.
C. 5K Run – thinking about having it around the Hinckley Bicentennial time frame.
D. Hometown Heros – Pictures of our veterans on flags attached to poles sponsored by the Hinckley Chamber. The trustees stated that we should go to the BZA to see if we can put the banners up at a cost of $500.00 before we can move forward on pricing of brackets, bands, and banners. Linda Fussi made a motion to pay the $500.00 and Eric Lucius seconded. There was a discussion. The motion carried with one abstention.
E. Buzzard Sunday-Sunday, March 16, 2025 – During the pancake breakfast paper placemats advertising the Hinckley Bicentennial will be put on each tray.
F. 2nd Annual Golf Outing-Friday, May 16, 2024, at Valleaire Golf & Event Center (8:00am-4:30pm)

A. Website Committee – This was tabled until our October meeting.
- Announcements
Melissa Augustine announced the Citizen of the Year Committee is discussing revamping the committee.
Melissa Augustine announced she gave her resignation as Vice-President effective at the end of the year.
- Adjourn- 1:10pm: Mellisa Augustine made the motion to adjourn & Vickie Getz seconded. Motion carried.
