5. SPOTLIGHTING OUR MEMBERS

Please see Heather Liccardi to be put on the speaker rotation.

George Hoose spoke on ‘what to do with our money’. Because no one contested

the winner of the US Presidency, the market went up about 3%. His advice was to

not make any rash decisions, assess your portfolio and see if it needs to be

rebalanced and ask your investor if you are invested appropriately.

Our speaker this month was Eric Lucius, manager of the Highland Library. The library is a Community Center with 2 full time and 9 part time employees. The emphasis is on Customer Service. Highland Library is not a destination library located in the middle of town around shops, etc. With your library card, you can check out Christmas CD’s, download books and audio books. Using Hoopla, you can get movies, popular television shows and music. Kanopy will bring you movies. The meeting room is free to non-profits & you can rent a Hotspot. At the Medina library you can get passport photos, use a sewing machine or a 3-D printer.

There will be no speaker in December, and we will have a catered lunch.
