  • Denise said we have $45,300.01 in checking.

4. COMMITTEE REPORTS

  1. Membership: Annetherese Biesiada & Mark Staron – Mark explained the news member forms. The purpose is to have members involved in Chamber Committees/Events. Please fill out and return.
  2. Greeters: Heather Liccardi – Please bring business cards and/or information to be added to the Foster Pizza Boxes to Heather.
  3. Scholarship: Vicki TifftMelissa and Denise presented our 2 Scholarship winners: Georgia Rupert & Maya Weber. They read their scholarship essay and each received a $1,000 check from the Hinckley Chamber. There were 36 applicants.
  4. Citizen of the Year Award – Former Citizen of the Year, Heather Liccardi, introduced the newest recipient, David Manley. Mr. Manley moved to Hinckley in 1978 and he and his wife Ruthann raised 7 children. He has volunteered and helped with many different organizations. He is presently the President of the Hinckley Historical Society. A plaque and picture were presented to Mr. Manley. The picture will be hung on the wall at Hinckley Town Hall.
  5. Donations: Eric Lucius – There were no requests.

5. SPOTLIGHTING OUR MEMBERS

6. Old Business

  1. Golf Outing- May 17, 2024, at Valleaire Golf and Event Center 9:00am-2:00pm
    We still need 4 Game Sponsors and raffle baskets.
    You can drop off your raffle basket at S&S Heating by May 15.Meetings at Foster’s Tavern at 5:30pm for Golf Outing

    Leadership will be checking about a rain date for the golf outing.
  2. Hinckley Halloween (Trunk or Treat) – Saturday, October 26, 2024 (4:00pm-6:00pm)
  3. Hinckley Holiday – December 07, 2024 (6:00pm-8:00pm)
    We are moving it to Hinckley Preparatory Academy.
    After the golf outing there will be meetings to plan for this event

7. New Business

  1. 5K Run – details to follow.
  2. Honoring Hinckley Veterans – Pictures of our veterans on flags attached to poles sponsored by the Hinckley Chamber. More details coming.

8. Announcements

  • Mark had flyers for anyone interested in a bus trip on Sunday, June 23 through Tuesday, June 25, 2024, to Soaring Eagle Casino Resort.
