2. APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 2024 MINUTES – Vickie Getz

Jim Bialosky made the motion to accept the minutes from November.

George Hoose seconded the motion – Motion Approved

3. TREASURER REPORT – Denise Klag

Denise reported that we have $40,899.47 in checking.

4. COMMITTEE REPORTS

A. Membership: Annetherese Biesiada & Mark Staron –Annetherese reported that Membership is putting together a committee to create networking, education, review applications, etc. and will be meeting on Monday, January 13, at 6:30. You can see her for details if you would like to join.

Membership dues and applications are due Now.

Business Membership – $150.00

Non-profit Membership – $75.00

Individual – $40.00

B. Hinckley Greeters: Heather Liccardi –Please bring business cards and/or information to be added to the Foster Pizza Boxes to Heather. They take a break in the winter and resume in the spring.

Their purpose is to welcome new Neighbors and provide them with resources they may want or need. Erik Fredmonsky from Coldwell Banker finds newcomers through public records. They made 87 deliveries in 2024 from March-October.

C. Scholarship: Laura Baciu- No report

D. Donations: Eric Lucius – Vickie Getz read the request from David Manley from the Hinckley Historical Society. After discussion-Jim Ascherl made a motion to purchase a brick for $500.00 and Christina McVey seconded. The motion passed. The brick will read

The $2,500.00 purchase toward the clock was discussed.

Melissa Augustine made the motion to see if we can raise the money by using what we collect from the 50/50 Raffle and Basket Raffle on Buzzard Sunday. Trish Strazar seconded the motion. The motion passed.

E. Citizen of the Year: Melissa Augustine-The committee will be meeting in January.

5. SPOTLIGHTING OUR MEMBERS

Please see Heather Liccardi to be put on the speaker rotation.

George Hoose discussed minimum distributions (the percentages and income tax). If you give to a qualified charity, if paid directly, you will save the federal tax.

There was no speaker for December. Trish Strazar from Southwest General Hospital Physical Therapy will be our speaker in January.

6. OLD BUSINESS

A. Hinckley Holidays – December 07, 2024 (6:00pm-8:00pm)

Mark went over the schedule. We will set up on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 2:00 at Hinckley Preparatory Academy. Eric Lucius will be playing Christmas music with his band. Thank you, Eric! We won’t be doing Santa on the fire truck, but the Hinckley Fire Department does want to be involved in some way.

B. 5K Run –No report.

C. Hometown Heroes – No report.

D. Buzzard Sunday-Sunday, March 16, 2025 – No report.

E. 2nd Annual Golf Outing-Friday, May 16, 2024, at Valleaire Golf & Event Center (8:00am-4:30pm)– No report.

7. New Business

A. Vice President-Christina McVey was appointed by the board to fill Melissa Augustine’s remaining 1-year term.

B. Elections-Kati made the motion to reelect Mark for President and Denise for Treasurer and Frank Kichurchak seconded, and the motion passed.

Mark Staron was reelected President for a 2-year term and Denise Klag was reelected Treasurer for a two-year term. Congratulations to both.

9. Adjourn– 12:35pm: Mark Staron made the motion to adjourn and have our Christmas luncheon, Melissa Augustine seconded, and the motion carried.
